Family Needs, Ministry Expansion, Prayer is Priority

Check out all we’re doing at https://MorningMindsetMedia.com
It’s been TOO LONG since I sent a prayer update, and for that I apologize. Writing these emails always turns out to be a joy once I get started, but in the moment of decision it can seem like “just one more thing” I have to do. I’m so sorry to have neglected this vital form of communication with you, my prayer partners. I’m sorry… for your sake and for the sake of the Kingdom.
There’s a lesson for me… a reminder… PRAYER MATTERS MORE than almost anything else.
Thank You, Holy Spirit. Rebuke received!

FAMILY NEED UPDATE
I’m sure that most of you have heard of my son’s emergency dental need.
In case you haven’t here is the synopsis…
Back when he was 7 or 8 he broke out one of his front teeth (diving off his bunk bed into a pile of blankets and sheets on the floor… which also contained his cassette tape player, hidden in the pile!). At that time he had to have an implant placed and his smile looked great afterward. No big deal.
When he was 13, that false tooth began hurting. Hmmm… Investigation with the dentist led to a consult with an oral surgeon, who determined that a bacteria must have snuck its way into the wound during the previous surgery because much of the bone above the implant had been eaten away. He required a bone graft at that time (horse bone) and his face was swollen for weeks afterward. Again, the Lord provided.
Fast forward to today (he’s 34 now) and he’s having pain in that same fake tooth. Another consult, another diagnosis… the bone graft has failed, only this time the decay is more extensive than last time. (We’ve since been told that they no longer use horse bone in grafts due to them failing).
When he told me of the need and his inability to cover it, I immediately felt that the Morning Mindset family would want to help… so I made the need known. That turned out to be the voice of the Lord!
As of today, donations for his travel costs and surgery (estimated to cost $25,000) have reached $18,000 and some change!
The generosity of the MM family has overwhelmed him and have demonstrated the love of the Lord powerfully to him, his wife, and their 4 boys. If you have contributed to their need, THANK YOU!
He’ll be traveling from the St. Louis, MO area to Salt Lake City, UT to see a specialist for the surgery on December 7th. After a consult on the 8th, the surgery is scheduled for the 9th. My wife, Mindi will also be flying out there to be with him post-surgery and ensure he’s feeling good enough to get on a plane back to St. Louis, returning to his busy life and loving family.
Please keep praying that Jesus will be glorified through the generosity of His people, the solution the surgery provides, and the opportunities Aaron and Mindi have to speak the name of Jesus to his caregivers as he undergoes the surgery. This time of year, weather-related travel issues are also a concern, so we appreciate your prayers for that as well.

NEW PODCAST: The Evening Mindset
Readers of this prayer email have been a tremendous help in prayerfully providing feedback regarding my idea for a second podcast - The Evening Mindset: Christian Bible Meditation and Bedtime Prayer. Of all the responses I received, only one had any concern about me adding the additional show, and that concern was for my well-being and level of stress (Thank you… you know who you are!).
I’ve been experimenting over the past two weeks, recording “test” Evening Mindset episodes along with my Morning Mindset recordings. This was Mindi’s great idea… to enable me to get a realistic feel for how much longer it would take me to do the added work (only about 1 ¼ hours per week), and to experience the mental-emotional weight of what it would be like to produce an additional podcast week after week.
By doing so, I’ve discovered ways to simplify the process, keep the focus of the Evening Mindset sharp and clear, and produce it in less time.
So… my plan is that January 1, 2026, the Evening Mindset goes “live” in a podcast player near you. I’ve purchased the domain name “EveningMindset.com” (which does NOT work at this time). You’ll hear me announcing the Evening Mindset podcast’s upcoming debut this coming week on the Morning Mindset.
MY GOAL with this new podcast is identical to that of the Morning Mindset. I want to help followers of Jesus Christ get their minds aligned with the truth of God’s word. The Evening Mindset’s target audience is those who need some help settling their mind and spirit at the end of a busy and stressful day. What better way to do it than by focusing on the promises of God’s word?
I would love your feedback! Here is a sample episode of what the new Evening Mindset sounds like thus far.
Thank you for your prayers… for the support, and for the concern you express to me consistently about my work, my well-being, and my calling as creator and teacher of all things Morning Mindset Media. Ask the Lord to use the Evening Mindset in a special way… perhaps even in a way that the Morning Mindset has not been able to reach. My hope is for new audiences to be reached and for Jesus’ church to be built up to maturity.
A RECENT LISTENER STORY
I’ve been listening since 2019 and just want to thank you for all that you do. Your podcast has really helped me get my mind and heart aligned in to work every morning.
I currently live in Lynchburg VA. I graduated from medical school in 2019 and started my anesthesiology residency that year. While in residency I struggled with finding quiet time / devotion time for God. I had a 30 min commute to work every morning and came across your podcast. It really helped me on my morning drives.
I love that I’m not alone in this ministry… that you CARE to be alongside praying and helping (it really IS a great support and help to us). Please…
DON’T STOP PRAYING!
How can we be praying for you? Please hit reply and let me know!
We love you friends,
Carey and Mindi
