3 years ago, I was in a dark place. I came on here requesting to pray for me. Three years later, I'm completing my residency in family medicine in 10 months. I hope to be a skilled, useful servant of God in medicine. I want to be able to listen to my patients without judgment. I want to be more compassionate and kind. And I want to be able to have the knowledge and skills to meet their needs. Please also pray that I will have the self-discipline to pay off debts quickly and be wise with money. Thank you so much!

I had submitted a prayer request in the summer of 2023. I had asked for some prayers to get my head really aligned with the word and to not have Jesus be just a “hobby on the side” and for Him to be my main thing. Well it has been a year and i just want to say that so much has changed! Last night at Bible study I prayed in front of people, out loud, for the first time ever! It was amazing. So I just ask you to pray for me to continue my journey with Jesus, build a real relationship with him and not backslide!

I first discovered your  Morning Mindset Devotional Podcast when I decided to get into listening to podcasts during my summer internship during my third year in university in Nigeria. This was when I had just begun to take my walk with the Lord seriously and your podcast played a part in understanding the God I chose to make my Lord and personal savior. New episodes always dropped around 9 am in Nigeria, and it always coincided with the time I walked to work. I just loved having my mind prepared for the Lord each morning. Even though I won't claim to have been consistent with listening daily, I am pretty sure I have listened to every episode since the time I started listening. From your study of John, the study of proverbs to now listening to your current study on the book of Romans, I have been blessed throughout.

I recently moved to the US this August to start my PhD program in Chemistry at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. I had always known that I wanted to do my graduate program in the US, and I promised myself, (and maybe God), that when I got to the US, I would become a monthly sponsor even with the little I get as my graduate stipend, and God has been faithful.

My faith walk since 2021 has been a rollercoaster, but God has kept me close to him. Even in the seasons when I was far away from him, he found a way to bring me closer to him and daily I am growing in him. My 25th birthday is in a couple of days and the prayer laid in my heart is that God helps a genuine love for him grow in my heart daily, that my gaze is focused on him only, and that he leads me towards what he has purposed for me. I would love it if you could say a prayer about this for me as well, and say a prayer for the new academic journey I am embarking on.
